1001 Albums: Oracular Spectacular - MGMT (12)

I was really excited to get into this album! I grew up with "Kids", "Electric Feel", and "Time to Pretend" playing on the radio, so I was really curious about what the rest of the album had in store. Turns out, uh... not very much? It wasn't bad, it was just kind of unremarkable. There's a reason the other tracks off this album didn't get radio play... but hey, don't let this dissuade you from the rest of their discography! "Congratulations" (2010) and "Little Dark Age" (2018) both have incredible tracks off them (if you've been online at all for the past five years, you've definitely heard the title track off of the latter album). Give them a shot!
